game day 1 part 2

So after the bus-tree-landrover incident a number of twist players went out to watch the Socceroos play the Dutch team...sans some big name players Mark VanBommel, R VanPersie, Arjen Robben, and Ruud...Watching the game was truly a treat to the eyes as the dutch played some wonderful one and 2-touch footy (and some of them were not too hard on the eyes)...The result was a 0-0 draw (maybe a little foreshadowing)...but definitely worth the time spent...
The game was followed by a slightly impromptu party in the meriton...a late night for room 3105.

  2. Thought I'd share this update I got from Lisa...

Alright everyone, here is my final update from Down Under. This
morning was the gold medal match against Random U. We tied them in
our first game of the tournament, and today was another hard-fought
game. We kept the majority of the play, and created a lot of great
chances. They only managed to generate one good scoring chance this
whole game, but were able to capitalize on it. They went ahead 1-0
late in the first half. The second half saw more and more pressure
from us, 4-5 great chances that went within 1 foot of the net, but
alas, no goals. It just doesn't seem that today was our day. The game
ended 1-0, and we came away with the silver medal.

However, no worries, the obvious disappointment at losing the game has
passed, and now it's time to PARTY!!! The closing celebrations tonight
are down at Darling Harbour, and should be another fantastic event!
